Spent the whole day in uni on Wednesday. From 9.30am until 7pm. Business information systems lecture was oh-so-boring. Gahh! Why do I have to take subject, omg? Apparently, its essential for every company/corporation/organization as a database and foundation for the whole structure. Oh wells. I will be using the computer a lot for this subject. We’re even going to have one hour of computer lab time for this subject a week. All on Wednesday. Wednesday is a whole day of lectures and tutorials for me. Roar ttm! x(

Anyway, yeah I sat through the morning lecture with Nadia and Angela. My two friends who are very much Aussies. Lol. Angela is still  new to me, but I know we can be quite close since we’re doing  the same subjects throughout year 2 and 3 :) For Angela and I, we will basically spend our whole Wednesday together because we have the same lectures in the morning and also in the evening. We went to the evening Contract Law lecture in the Engineering Building together. Whoop whoop :P Guess who I saw? Ho Sea Herman! A guy from church who went to Easter Camp as well. And I have not seen him around in church ever since. Apparently, he joined the exchange student program to Japan for one semester. That’s why. Lol. He didn’t recognize me. BOOOHOOO! He later on recognized me when I said Hi to him in church after Roundtable.

I left the lecture after an hour with Angela because I had Roundtable in church that night. Angela left because she lives really far from uni and her sister is waiting for her in the city. So we left together. It wasn’t due to the lecture being boring or whatever. Instead, I find the lecturer – Steven, really good! :) We did a recap of what we studied in business law last semester about contract. And he explained it so well that it reminded me why I loved law in the first place. Awwwww! I fell in love with law once again ♥ Somehow I had this feeling when I was about to finish Form 5. I know I know, people say I was fast in deciding what I wanted to do in the future. But yeah, I knew I had this love for law and I just went ahead with it :D

Back to the story, Roundtable that night was about Islam and Christianity. When I arrived in church, I was so so happy to see so many people there. Wow! I have never seen Roundtable sessions full with people. I guess its because of the topic. I have to say it was a really GOOD topic. Ps Sandy and Maria invited some of their Muslim friends as well.

So…

This is what I have concluded from the whole session.

Yes. Islam and Christianity have quite a few similarities such as the fact that both their mothers heard a voice when they were pregnant (Gabriel the angel came to Mary ; Amina heard a voice talking to her out of no where) and also the part where both Jesus and Muhammad can tell of the future and prophesize. But still, the teachings are rather different. Jesus preaches and spreads the love of God around whereas Muhammad warns people of God’s wrath when people don’t obey him and God (more to instilling fear). Jesus’ teaching, “When someone slaps you on your left cheek, turn your right cheek also.” But Islam is opposite. When enemies denied their teachings, they killed and had war upon them. Jesus is the son of God whereas Muhammad is just a man of flesh and blood. That’s why when they were faced with a woman who committed adultery, both the outcomes were different. Jesus said to the men who demanded she be stoned to death, “Let those who are without sin throw the first stone.” Jesus is without sin but He didn’t even stone her when He could. Whereas, Muhammad ordered people to stone the woman because he was just obeying the law that God has set for them. Also, Jesus did heaps and heaps of miracles whereas, Muhammad did not perform any miracle at all. When people questioned Muhammad, God asked him to answer, “Miracles are meant to be performed by God. I am just a messenger, a man.”  One is God and the other is just a man. I can totally see the difference now. Despite having so many similarities, I definitely understood more now and casted out the doubts I had before :) Plus, Muhammad only existed 600years after Jesus died and resurrected.

Why do Muslims not acknowledge that Jesus is the son of God? Because Muhammad said so. Its stated in the al-Quran that Jesus is a prophet because Muhammad said so. The whole al-Quran is based on what Muhammad said when he was alive and different people had different interpretations of what he said. So yeah, there is no significant proof that Jesus is not the son of God if we were to refer to the al-Quran. Its definitely invalid due to the fact that it came out from a person’s mouth and different people interpreted what he said differently and just put it all together.

It was Aaron’s last night before he left for Malaysia as well. Awwww! Hannah and I miss this silly, funny and at times irritating brother of us :’)

PS : “maybe she doesn’t  even know that she has already fallen for him.” What they said today, kept me thinking, Hmmm… True? I don’t know :|
